The Church is healing

By invitation of the Chinley churches together group, Rev. May Goodwin of Bakewell will be leading 3 Monday evenings exploring the church’s healing ministry.

They will be held on 21^st, 28^th April and 5^th May at 7.30p.m. in the Thornsett room, Chinley Chapel church hall.

Anyone with an interest is welcome.

Pentecost Praise

Following last year’s very enjoyable sponsored sing, we’ve decided to hold a second, this time in aid of the local mobile physiotherapy service. We will be singing our praises on Pentecost Sunday, 11^th May, beginning at the usual morning service time of 10.30a.m. We’ll break for lunch at 12 noon - please bring food to share. Then after a break, we’ll begin again at 12.45p.m., finishing by 3p.m.

Sponsor sheets will be available after Easter. Sponsors may request favourite hymns and we’ll do our best to include them. As last time, the group will sing a total of 50 hymns and choruses between us. Individuals are welcome to come for part or all of the time, with or without being sponsored.

It is hoped all members and regulars will take part somehow, sharing what will hopefully be another very joyful day, as well as raising funds for a very worthwhile local charity.

Please also make a note of the following dates for the coming year:

Family Fun Day, Saturday 28^th June,1-4p.m.

Church Anniversary, Sunday 29^th June

Chapel open in local wells dressing week, 5^th-14^th July, 2-4p.m. each afternoon with exhibition & cream teas in the church hall.

November Sale, Saturday 29^th, 11a.m.-2p.m.
